I also run small group sessions on drawing a portrait for beginners to those with some experience. These sessions are designed to be fun but also provide you with methods and techniques which will enable you to produce a recognisable portrait and maybe do more!
Spring 2024
Monthly Life Drawing Exercises – 1.30pm – 3.30pm
At The Old Stables, Adel, Leeds on Tuesdays Jan 9th, Feb 6th, March 5th, April 2nd. This is a session designed to guide you through using different techniques which you can then apply the following week in the untutored session. I will take you through various exercises. Warning: I may take you slightly out of your comfort zone but it will be extremely good for your development! There will be a model for some of these sessions. Materials will be provided as well as tea/ coffee. £60 in advance for all 4 sessions or £18 for each session if paying on the day. You don’t have to sign up for the untutored session to come to this.
Monthly Life Drawing Sessions – 1.30pm – 3.30pm
At The Old Stables, Adel, Leeds Tuesdays Jan 16th, Feb 13th, March 12th, April 9th This session was previously run by Laurie on a weekly basis at a slightly earlier time. It is an untutored session. Bring your own materials. There will be a life model. Tea/ coffee will be provided. £48 in advance for all 4 sessions or £15 for each session if paying on the day. You don’t have to sign up for the “Exercises” sessions above to come to this.
Monthly Dressed Model “Portrait” Sessions 10am – 12pm
At The Old Stables, Adel, Leeds Fridays Jan 12th, Feb 9th, March 8th, April 12th This is an untutored session. A dressed model will be sitting from 10am and you may use what ever medium you choose. Bring your own materials. Tea/ coffee will be provided. £40 in advance for all 4 sessions or £15 for each session on the day.
